The
unit is powered from 120 or 220 volts AC at 50 or 60 Hz.
Its
highly accurate crystal reference and PLL circuitry ensures you will
have a very stable signal at all times. The frequencies can
easily be selected by pressing the set button and up down arrow keys. The
frequency range is of this model is 84.00 to
95.80
MHz and the channel resolution is
10KHz. We can also factory
preset the unit to your desired frequency. No
internal adjustments are necessary since the unit uses a wideband amplifier
that does not require any tuning!
The chart
below shows the maximum power output at various frequencies for a
transmitter ordered for a center frequency of 88.3 MHz. The
transmitter can be set to other frequencies not on the chart as
long as the frequency falls within 84.10 to 95.80 MHz.
Power between the frequencies in the chart can be approximated
since we did not measure the output of all frequencies.

We
can have the transmitter peaked up at your desired operating
frequency in the 87.5 to 108 MHz range so you will have maximum
power. You will also be able to change the frequency up or
down around 6 MHz. Please allow 2-4 weeks for shipping
since each unit is customized for peak power output on your
desired operating frequency.
The
amazing sound quality is due to the well engineered Phase lock loop, (PLL)
circuitry that allows even very low audio frequencies to fully
modulate the transmitter without attenuation!
2 RCA
input CD jacks and 2 RCA input AUX jacks enable stereo audio feed on the back panel. The audio level
is adjusted by the front panel control knobs and is easy to set to
100% modulation with a wide range of audio input levels.
High audio input impedances enable the use of almost any type of audio
source. Other transmitters can often load down the audio source
which usually results in the loss of high frequency response. You
will not have to worry about high frequency loss with this transmitter!
There is also a 1/4" microphone input
jack on the back and a front panel mic level control on the front panel
for live broadcasting voice.
The unit
is housed in a very nice aluminium enclosure that shields the unit.
A good enclosure can
often prevent feedback problems if using an additional amplifier for
even more power. For long range a high gain antenna could be
used and connected to the standard SO-239 connector on the back of the
unit. We can also help you out
getting set up with an antenna.
