The Diawa CN-101L crosshair power meter was one
of the few low cost meters that is accurate enough for meaningful
readings in the FM broadcast frequency range of 87 to 108 Mhz.
Most of the low cost meters we tested were too inaccurate to use for any
practical purpose other than to save a few dollars. This meter
does not require any calibration when taking readings since it uses
crosshair meter intersection points for SWR. The left side of the meter
read foward power while the right side of the meter reads reverse
power.
The meters usable frequency range is 1.8 to 150 Mhz
and has a 15W, 150W and a 1.5KW power range. We tested this
against the professional Bird 43 meter and did not notice very much
difference at all. All in all a great must have meter for the FM
broadcaster!
